Day 1
Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park
Picked up in Nairobi and briefed, then a three-to-four-hour drive to Lake Nakuru. Check in, lunch, and an afternoon game drive taking in the flamingos along the shore as well as giraffe, white rhino and other game.

Day 2
Lake Nakuru to the Maasai Mara
An early breakfast and a game drive on the way out of the park, then the six-hour drive to the Maasai Mara with lunch en route. Check in during the late afternoon and head out on an evening game drive for leopard, lion, cheetah and the nocturnal animals.

Day 3
Full day in the Maasai Mara
A full day in the reserve. The operator suggests starting with a balloon flight or an early game drive, with lunch either at the lodge or as a picnic on the plains by the Mara River, looking out over crocodiles and hippos and, in season, the wildebeest herds. A second game drive follows in the afternoon.

Return to Nairobi
Breakfast and check-out, then an early game drive for more wildlife before leaving the reserve. The drive back to Nairobi has lunch on the way, with drop-off at the airport or your hotel.
