Day 1
Nairobi to the Masai Mara National Reserve
Met at Nairobi airport, taken to a nearby spot to freshen up and briefed, then driven five to six hours to the Masai Mara through the Rift Valley. Enter by the eastern gate and continue to the lodge for dinner. Ol Moran Camp, Mara Serena Safari Lodge or Ilkeliani Camp.

Day 2
Game viewing and a Maasai village visit
An early game drive across the reserve for the Big Five, working towards the Mara River where, depending on the season, the wildebeest crossings, crocodiles and hippos can be seen. Lunch by the river, a second drive in the afternoon, then an evening at a Maasai homestead for their daily life, crafts and a traditional performance.

Day 3
Masai Mara to Nairobi, fly to Kigali and on to Volcanoes National Park
An early breakfast and the drive back to Nairobi airport for a two-hour charter flight to Kigali. Met on arrival and driven two hours north to Volcanoes National Park, checking in at the lodge in the evening.

Day 4
Gorilla tracking and a cultural visit in Rwanda
An early briefing at the Kinigi visitor centre by 8am, then out to track a gorilla family, with an hour spent with them. Back for lunch, then an afternoon at the Iby'Iwacu cultural village.

Day 5
Kigali and departure
The drive back to Kigali after breakfast, with the genocide memorial and a local market for curios if the flight time allows, before departure.
